This 10-day safari provides a rich mix of wildlife, cultural immersion, and beautiful landscapes across Kenya’s most iconic safari destinations. From rhino conservation in Ol Pejeta to the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Maasai Mara, each day offers unique adventures and unforgettable memories.

Day By Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy (204 km – 3 to 4 hours)

    Your safari adventure begins at 7:30 am when you meet your guide in Nairobi. After boarding your custom safari vehicle, you’ll head north towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Along the way, you’ll pass the majestic Mount Kenya, and as you approach the conservancy, the landscape shifts to rolling plains dotted with trees. Upon arrival, a warm welcome and delicious lunch await.

    Ol Pejeta is renowned for its successful rhino conservation efforts and is home to over 150 black rhinos and 40+ southern white rhinos. After settling in, you’ll embark on your first game drive, where your expert guide will share stories and insights into the area’s wildlife. The day concludes with a peaceful evening under the starry African sky, followed by dinner at your lodge.

  • Day 2: Full Day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy

    Start early for a morning game drive, giving you the chance to see predators like cheetahs, lions, and leopards. You’ll also encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, and more. A highlight of the day is a visit to the Sweet waters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, where you’ll learn about the efforts to rescue and rehabilitate chimps from the illegal wildlife trade.

    After lunch, you’ll venture out again for an afternoon game drive, and possibly meet the last two northern white rhinos, Najin and Fatu, whose survival depends on ongoing conservation efforts. In the evening, opt for a nocturnal game drive to witness predators hunting under the cover of night.

  • Day 3: Ol Pejeta - Lake Nakuru National Park (133 km – 3.5 hours)

    After an early morning game drive in Ol Pejeta, you’ll head to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its stunning pink flamingos. After a scenic drive, enjoy lunch upon arrival, followed by leisure time at the lodge.

    Lake Nakuru is also home to diverse wildlife, including rhinos, lions, leopards, and hyenas. The lake itself is filled with thousands of flamingos, and the area is known for its abundant birdlife, including pelicans and various waterfowl.

  • Day 4: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara National Reserve (300 km – 5 to 6 hours)

    Rise early for a game drive in Lake Nakuru, where you may spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and black rhinos. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, you’ll set out for the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, a journey of approximately 300 km.

    Upon arrival, settle into your lodge and enjoy an afternoon game drive. Maasai Mara is known for its vast savannah, rich wildlife, and the indigenous Maasai people who call this area home.

  • Day 5: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara

    Start early for an exciting day of game drives in the Masai Mara. The reserve is home to a high density of predators, including lions, hyenas, leopards, and cheetahs. The area also boasts an abundance of prey species like giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, and zebras.

    You can pack a picnic lunch to maximize your time in the park, and after a full day of exploration, return to your accommodation for dinner and rest.

  • Day 6: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara

    Another thrilling day of game viewing awaits you in the Maasai Mara. The area is home to the Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of wildebeests cross the plains from July to October. This chaotic spectacle often attracts predators such as lions and hyenas.

    Your guide will share updates with fellow guides to ensure you don’t miss any exciting wildlife sightings. After a day full of adventure, return to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner and rest.

  • Day 7: Maasai Mara - Lake Naivasha (215 km – 4 to 5 hours)

    Before leaving Maasai Mara, take the option of visiting a Maasai homestead to learn about the Maasai people’s way of life. Then, head to Lake Naivasha, a tranquil lakeside destination surrounded by scenic beauty.

    After arriving and settling into your accommodation, enjoy a boat cruise around the lake, observing birds, hippos, and crocodiles. Later, take a leisurely stroll around Crescent Island, a peaceful haven for wildlife.

  • Day 8: Lake Naivasha - Amboseli National Park (310 km – 5 to 6 hours)

    In the afternoon, continue to Amboseli National Park, arriving late in the day. If time permits, enjoy a short game drive in this stunning park, famous for its views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
