Day By Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Nairobi To Lake Nakuru National Park ( 170 Km | Drive Time: 3 – 3.5 Hours)

Your African wilderness escape begins early in the morning, as you’re warmly picked up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi. Travel across the scenic Kenyan highlands, passing rolling hills, bustling market towns, and acacia-dotted plains.

Arriving at the Lanet Gate, your adventure ignites immediately—game viewing begins right at the park entrance. Keep your eyes peeled for zebras, buffaloes, impalas, and the elusive leopard, all set against the mesmerizing backdrop of Lake Nakuru’s alkaline waters.

Check in and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch at your lodge or tented camp nestled within or near the park. After a brief rest, set off for an afternoon game drive across the shimmering plains and wooded grasslands. Witness the surreal sight of flamingo flocks painting the lake pink, and scan the shores for hippos, pelicans, and fish eagles.

As the sun sets behind the Mau Escarpment, head back to camp for dinner and a night spent under the stars, serenaded by the calls of the wild.

  • Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park To Nairobi (170 Km | Drive Time: 3 – 3.5 Hours)

Wake up to the sounds of the savannah and enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading out on an early morning safari drive, when wildlife is most active. Lake Nakuru is a birder’s paradise, hosting over 450 bird species, from kingfishers to the majestic African fish eagle.

Today, you’ll visit the park’s Rhino Sanctuary, home to both black and white rhinos, where conservation efforts are helping these giants thrive. You’ll also encounter the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, a species found in only a few places in the world, along with predators like lions and possibly leopards lounging in the trees or grass.

Enjoy a scenic cliff-top lunch with sweeping views over the park—a perfect finale to your wildlife immersion. Afterward, begin your relaxed drive back to Nairobi through the enchanting Rift Valley landscape, with a drop-off at your hotel, residence, or airport by late afternoon.
