Route: Nairobi • Maasai Mara • Lake Nakuru • Amboseli • Arusha • Serengeti • Ngorongoro • Zanzibar/Nairobi
Experience the very best of Kenya and Tanzania on this thrilling 10-day private wildlife safari through East Africa’s most celebrated national parks. From the vast plains of the Maasai Mara and the flamingo-lined shores of Lake Nakuru, to the elephant-rich swamps of Amboseli, and finally across the border into the legendary Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, this safari is rich in wildlife, scenic beauty, and cultural encounters.
You’ll enjoy daily game drives, stunning landscape photography opportunities, and the chance to see the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—in their natural habitats. Optional activities like Masai village visits, hot air balloon safaris, and a possible extension to Zanzibar offer customization for a truly personal adventure.
Begin your East African safari with a morning hotel pickup in Nairobi and transfer to the departure point for a pre-safari briefing. Depart Nairobi in a custom safari van, descending into the Great Rift Valley, pausing at the Mai Mahiu viewpoint to admire the escarpment.
Enjoy early lunch in Narok Town, then continue to Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving at MitiMingi Eco Camp for check-in and refreshments.
Embark on a sunset game drive in the world-famous Mara, home to lions, elephants, giraffes, and more.
After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive across the Mara’s golden plains, carrying picnic lunches.
Spot the Big Five—lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, rhino—and witness wildebeests and zebras if traveling during the Great Migration (July–October).
Stop for lunch at the Hippo Pool, where crocodiles and hippos gather. In the late afternoon, consider an optional visit to a Maasai Village to learn about the culture, dance, and traditions of this semi-nomadic community ($10 pp).
Optional early Maasai village visit. After breakfast, check out and travel north to Nakuru Town with a stopover for lunch along the highway. Pass by pastoral lands and scenic countryside.
Arrive at your hotel in Nakuru for check-in, dinner, and rest.
After early breakfast, explore Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its flamingos, black and white rhinos, baboons, and birdlife. Visit Baboon Cliff for panoramic views over the lake.
Depart late morning and drive south to Amboseli National Park, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at camp.
Spend the day in Amboseli, known for its large herds of elephants and views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting).
After breakfast, carry packed lunch and enjoy game drives along wetlands, open plains, and acacia woodlands. Spot lions, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, and buffaloes.
Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart for Namanga Border. After clearing immigration, switch vehicles and proceed to Arusha, the Tanzanian safari hub.
Check in to a hotel on bed and breakfast basis. Dinner is on your own.
After breakfast and a briefing, drive via the Ngorongoro Highlands into Serengeti National Park. Stop for lunch en route.
Begin game drives upon entry, spotting wildebeests, lions, cheetahs, and gazelles across the open savannah.
Arrive at Seronera Campsite or Nyani Campsite for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy an early morning game drive before exiting Serengeti.
Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch stop at Olduvai Gorge (optional, extra cost), an archaeological site showcasing early human fossils.
Reach Simba Campsite at the crater rim by evening.
After breakfast, descend 600 meters into Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO site teeming with wildlife due to its enclosed ecosystem and permanent water source.
Spot black rhinos, elephants, hyenas, lions, hippos, and abundant birdlife.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo pool. Ascend and return to Arusha or continue to the airport for a flight to Zanzibar (optional).
After breakfast, transfer by shuttle bus back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Drop off at your hotel or JKIA Airport to catch your international flight or connect onward.

I just completed my 4-day trip to Mount Kenya and I’m very satisfied with all the services provided. I received excellent assistance throughout the entire process, from start to finish. I would strongly recommend choosing them if you’re planning a trip to Kenya—I would definitely choose them again if I return.Posted on Ajith Vasudevan2025.03.03.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After screening and talking to about 5 travel operators, I decided to go with Nature Romp for an 8 day safari in Kenya, in Feb 2025. Their rate was competitive and selection of lodges to stay very good. Initially I was skeptical due to less reviews about Nature Romp in public domain. However when I talked to Yvonne, I understood that theirs is a fairly new company and I decided to go with them. We (my daughter and I) opted for a private tour covering Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli. We were received at the Nairobi airport and the next day early morning Yvonne, Lucy and Maxwell (guide cum driver) welcomed us at the hotel, prior to starting the safari. We instantly felt at home and from then onwards it was a positive experience all the time. Our guide Maxwell is an excellent guide. He knew about birds and animals, their behavior and diligent in driving (safe driving). He was always on time. If i had to do anything differently, its only about selecting the stay option at one place (Naivasha). Although the accommodation was very good, it was pretty far from the National park. Drawing the route map and time to take to this palace would have helped me giving an additional 4 hours for bird photography. Thank you Yvonne and Maxwell. I surely plan to do another safari with Nature Romp in 2026Posted on Charles Otieno2024.11.26.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. initially asked for 3 quotations for my 7-days safari in Kenya (Masai Mara-Amboseli-Nakuru-Naivasha). All 3 tours companies replied me right away but Ms Yvonne Ateka from Nature Romp Safaris was by far the most outstanding and patient in answering dozens of my questions concerning visa, safety, accommodation, preparation, etc… She was also extremely flexible in helping me changing my safari schedule due to my unexpected 2-days delay at transit airport New Delhi. The entire tour was fascinating!!! It was the very best trip I’ve ever had (I’ve travelled 30+ countries so far)! Kenyan nature and wildlife is breathtakingly beautiful even more than I’ve imagined before… Freddy was very caring, knowledgeable and a super offroad driver. Thank you so much again Yvonne & Freddy for making my trip in Kenya a great experience! I would wholeheartedly recommend you guys for all my friends travelling to you amazing country!Posted on Paola2024.03.09.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The agency is great, we couldnt ask for better! Yvonne is a very nice agent and helped with everything right away.
