Day By Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara Game Reserve (Approx. 270 km / 5–6 hrs drive)

    Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel at 7:30 a.m. Your safari begins with a drive to the world-renowned Maasai Mara, with a brief stop at a Great Rift Valley viewpoint for panoramic photos.

    Arrive in time for lunch at your campsite/lodge and relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive across the rolling plains, in search of the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino.

    Dinner and overnight stay

  • Day 2: Full-Day Safari – Maasai Mara

    After an early morning game drive, return for breakfast. Then depart for a full-day safari with picnic lunch by the Mara River, a hotspot for crocodiles, hippos, and (seasonally) the Great Wildebeest Migration.

    Optional visit to a Maasai village offers cultural insight and photo opportunities with the locals.

    Dinner and overnight stay

  • Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park (Approx. 250 km / 5 hrs drive)

    After breakfast and a final morning game drive, head to Lake Nakuru, known as “the birdwatcher’s paradise” and home to both black and white rhinos.

    Arrive in the late afternoon and enjoy a short evening game drive as the sun sets over the lake.

  • Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park (Approx. 400 km / 7–8 hrs via Nairobi)

    Start with an early game drive in Lake Nakuru to see flamingos, rhinos, and baboons along the cliffs.

    Depart mid-morning for Amboseli National Park, arriving in the evening with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting).

  • Day 5: Full Day Safari – Amboseli National Park

    Spend the day in the shadow of Africa’s tallest mountain, enjoying uninterrupted views of elephant herds roaming the swamps.

    Other wildlife includes cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of birdlife.

    When skies are clear, Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak offers postcard-worthy shots.

    Dinner and overnight

  • Day 6: Amboseli – Namanga Border – Arusha (Approx. 190 km / 4–5 hrs)

    After an early pre-breakfast game drive, proceed to the Namanga Border, where you’ll meet your Tanzanian driver/guide.

    Continue to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon.

    Overnight at Christina House (Bed & Breakfast).

  • Day 7: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park (Approx. 130 km / 2.5 hrs drive)

    Depart after breakfast for Lake Manyara National Park, famed for its tree-climbing lions and bird-rich alkaline lake.

    Game viewing includes elephants, giraffes, zebras, dik-diks, baboons, and occasional leopards.

    Dinner and overnight at Panorama Campsite or similar.

  • Day 8: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park (Approx. 200 km / 5–6 hrs via Olduvai Gorge)

    After breakfast, journey into the endless plains of Serengeti, with a stop at Olduvai Gorge, the “Cradle of Mankind.”

    Upon arrival in the Serengeti, enjoy a late afternoon game drive, where wildlife sightings include cheetahs, lions, elephants, and, seasonally, massive herds of wildebeest.

    Dinner and overnight

  • Day 9: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater (Approx. 145 km / 3–4 hrs drive)

    After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive en route to Ngorongoro Crater, stopping to view wildlife along the way.

    Reach the crater rim in the afternoon. Optional: visit a Maasaiboma or relax with views over the crater.

    Overnight at Simba Campsite or similar lodge.

  • Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha (Approx. 190 km / 4–5 hrs drive)

    Descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 6-hour game drive across this unique wildlife haven.

    Expect to see black rhinos, lions, flamingos, hippos, hyenas, and elephants in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Picnic lunch at the crater floor before ascending and heading to Arusha.

    Overnight at Christina House (Bed & Breakfast).

  • Day 11: Arusha – Nairobi (Approx. 275 km / 6–7 hrs by road)

    After breakfast, meet your Nature Romp Safaris driver for the road transfer back to Nairobi.

    Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
