Day By Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Nairobi To Ol Pejeta Conservancy (204 Km | Drive Time: 3 – 4 Hours)

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi. As you leave the capital behind, the scenery transitions into the rolling hills and patchwork landscapes of Kenya’s central highlands, rich with tea and coffee plantations.

Arrive at Sweet waters Serena Camp, a luxury tented lodge located within the conservancy, and enjoy a hearty lunch before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is home to the largest population of black rhinos in East Africa, along with lions, elephants, zebras, and many more iconic African species.

You’ll also visit the renowned Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can observe these intelligent and charismatic primates in a naturalistic setting—rescued from trafficking and now thriving under expert care.

In the late afternoon, enjoy one of many optional experiences available at Ol Pejeta (advance booking recommended), such as: Guided bush walks, Horseback safari alongside rhinos, Lion tracking with researchers, Night game drives (for spotting nocturnal predators), Camel rides through the savannah, Birdwatching expeditions, Game viewing from wildlife blinds & Private bush meals under acacia trees

Return to Sweet waters Camp for dinner and a peaceful night in your luxurious tent, listening to the distant calls of wildlife under a blanket of stars.

  • Day 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy To Nairobi ( 204 Km | Drive Time: 3 – 4 Hours)

Rise before dawn for a sunrise game drive, one of the most magical times in the conservancy. Watch as nocturnal hunters retreat and the landscape slowly awakens to the morning chorus of birds, grazing herbivores, and predator calls.

After an exciting morning in the wild, return to camp for breakfast. Later, enjoy a scenic drive through the grounds of the exclusive Mount Kenya Safari Club, where you’ll have another chance to spot members of the Big Five, including the elusive leopard or buffalo herds.

Following lunch, begin your return journey to Nairobi, traveling south through the majestic central Kenyan countryside. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or the airport—whichever suits your travel plans best.
