Next, travel to Lake Nakuru for a chance to spot flamingos, rhinos, and the rare Rothschild giraffe. Your safari concludes with a morning game drive at Lake Nakuru before heading back to Nairobi. This unforgettable journey is filled with wildlife encounters, stunning scenery, and authentic cultural experiences.

Day By Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve (265 km – 5 to 6 hrs)

    Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from Nairobi, where your guide will provide a briefing before you begin your journey. As you drive through the stunning Great African Rift Valley, there will be plenty of opportunities to snap photos of the awe-inspiring landscapes, including views of the Suswa Ranges and Mount Longonot.

    After a lunch stop in Narok, a town nestled in the heart of the valley, you’ll continue your journey to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your accommodation and have a brief rest before setting out for your first game drive within the reserve. This evening’s safari will offer you a glimpse of the wildlife that calls this area home, followed by a delicious dinner at your lodge or camp.

  • Day 2: Full Day in Maasai Mara National Reserve

    Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your camp or lodge before setting out on a full-day game drive through the vast grasslands and rolling hills of Maasai Mara Game Reserve. This region is home to over three million wild animals, making it a true wildlife haven. Expect to encounter iconic species such as: Lions, Wildebeest, Leopards, Buffalo & Giraffes

    And many other remarkable animals that define the African plains and captivate visitors from around the world.

    Lunch will be served in a scenic picnic style by the Mara River, offering the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the surroundings. If you’re visiting during the migration season, you may be fortunate enough to witness the dramatic migration of wildebeest from the Serengeti.

    In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a traditional Maasai village, where you’ll experience the rich culture of these legendary nomadic warriors. Known for their bravery in the face of wild animals, the Maasai will welcome you with songs and dances, and you’ll have the chance to learn about their customs and visit a local home. Please note, an additional fee of US$20 per person applies for this cultural experience. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge/camp

  • Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park(300 km – 5 to 6 hrs)

    Start your day with a morning game drive after breakfast at your accommodation, allowing you to make the most of your last moments in the stunning Masai Mara. As you continue your journey to Lake Nakuru, enjoy the scenic landscapes of Kenya, with opportunities to take photographs of the picturesque views along the way.

    A picnic lunch will be served during the drive, giving you a chance to relax and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding you. You’ll arrive at Lake Nakuru in the early evening, where you’ll settle in and enjoy dinner. This will give you a chance to prepare for the exciting wildlife encounters awaiting you the next morning, as you explore the park’s rich variety of mega-fauna and exotic birdlife.

  • Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park to Nairobi (167 km – 3 to 4 hrs)

    After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive through the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Prepare to be amazed by the stunning sight of flamingos filling the lake, as they feed on the algae. The vibrant pink color of the birds is a spectacular sight to behold.

    The park is also home to a variety of mammals, and with some luck, you might spot the rare Rothschild giraffe, along with black and white rhinos, waterbuck, impalas, and buffalo. Your expert Kenyan guide will be on hand to provide insights into the behavior and habitats of the wildlife you encounter, helping you track and spot animals throughout the park.

    A picnic lunch by the lake offers a peaceful break before you begin your journey back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you can be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or directly at the airport, depending on your preference.
