Day By Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park (250 km, 4 to 5 hours)

At 07:30 am, after a hearty breakfast, you’ll be picked up in Nairobi and begin your journey to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch at your camp or lodge.

After some rest, we will head into the park for your first thrilling safari experience. During the game drive, keep an eye out for the iconic residents of Amboseli – elephants, lions, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, and many more fascinating creatures. The game drive will continue until sunset, and then we will return to your accommodation for a satisfying dinner.

  • Day 2: Full Day Discovering Amboseli National Park

Today will be dedicated to exploring the wonders of Amboseli National Park. Nestled near the Kenya-Tanzania border, this park sits at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. The majestic, snow-capped mountain provides a stunning backdrop to the vast plains. Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds, earning it the title “Home of the Elephants.” You’ll have the entire day to witness the diverse wildlife and captivating landscapes, all while enjoying the incredible views of Kilimanjaro. In the evening, return to your camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park

Start your day with an early morning game drive, witnessing the Maasai Mara come to life at dawn. As the park transitions from the stillness of night to the vibrant activity of daybreak, you’ll get to observe the wildlife in its most active state. Afterward, return to your lodge or camp for a satisfying breakfast before embarking on your journey towards Lake Nakuru, passing through the magnificent Great African Rift Valley.

Upon reaching Lake Nakuru, you’ll be greeted by the stunning sight of flocks of flamingos that have made this lake their sanctuary. Their pink feathers, colored by the algae they feed on, cover the blue waters, creating a breathtaking spectacle. In addition to flamingos, over four hundred other bird species call the lake home. With the help of your expert safari guide, you’ll spot a variety of remarkable avian creatures.

As you explore the park, keep your eyes peeled for black and white rhinos and Rothschild giraffes, both of which can be seen grazing or strolling across the park’s picturesque landscapes. After an exciting day of wildlife spotting, you will head to your accommodation within the park, where dinner will be served.

  • Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara Game Reserve (250 km – 5 to 6 hours)

Following breakfast, we leave Lake Naivasha and head to the renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve, often considered the crown jewel of Kenya’s wildlife parks. The Mara is part of the expansive Serengeti-Mara ecosystem and is famous for the wildebeest migration. It’s also home to the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, leopard, rhinoceros, and Cape buffalo.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy lunch before relaxing for a while. In the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive through the reserve, searching for the incredible wildlife that calls the Mara home. The evening will be spent relaxing around the campfire, followed by a delicious dinner.

  • Day 5: Full Day Exploring Maasai Mara National Reserve

Today, after an early breakfast, we’ll head out with packed lunches for a full day of exploring the Masai Mara. The Mara is brimming with wildlife, including lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and countless others. For those seeking an even more adventurous experience, an optional hot air balloon safari is available for an additional US$ 425 per person. Alternatively, you may visit a local Masai Village to gain insight into their fascinating culture and way of life.

The highlight of your visit will be witnessing the iconic wildebeest migration, where millions of these animals travel from the Serengeti in search of grazing and water. At the end of the day, we’ll return to the lodge for dinner and a restful night.

  • Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi (265 km, 5 to 6 hours)

Your final day begins early with a 06:00 am wake-up call and a refreshing cup of coffee or tea. Then, set off on an early-morning game drive before returning to the camp for a hearty breakfast at 09:30 am. Afterward, we’ll head back to Nairobi, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward flight.
