Day By Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park (Approx. 160 km / 3 hrs drive)

Depart Nairobi after breakfast and journey through the scenic Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park, a haven for wildlife photographers. The park is renowned for its flamingo-lined lake shores, rhino sanctuary, and the rare Rothschild’s giraffe.

Afternoon game drive offers opportunities to photograph the Big Five (notably black and white rhinos), tree-climbing lions, waterbucks, buffalo, and over 450 bird species. The landscape features euphorbia forests, yellow acacia woodlands, and panoramic vistas—ideal for landscape photography.

📸 Safari Highlights: Rhino sightings, flamingos, unique forest backdrops.

  • Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve (Approx. 300 km / 5–6 hrs drive)

Depart after breakfast for the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most iconic safari destination and part of the Greater Serengeti Ecosystem. En route, enjoy views of the Mau Escarpment and rural Kenya.

After lunch, embark on your first afternoon game drive in the rolling savannah plains, capturing herds of wildebeest, elephants, zebras, and predators like lions and cheetahs.

📸 Safari Highlights: Golden hour wildlife photography, classic African savannahs, predator-prey interactions.

    Dinner and overnight stay

  • Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara

Optional: Start the day with a hot air balloon safari (extra cost) for stunning aerial wildlife shots at sunrise.

After breakfast, set off with picnic lunches for a full-day exploration across the Masai Mara. Visit the Mara River, especially significant during the Great Migration (July–October), when millions of wildebeest and zebras cross crocodile-infested waters.

📸 Safari Highlights: Big cats, crocodiles, river crossings, Maasai tribes (optional cultural visit).

Evening optional activities or relaxation at camp.

    Dinner and overnight stay

  • Day 4: Maasai Mara – Serengeti National Park via Isebania Border (Approx. 290 km / 7–8 hrs incl. border formalities)

After early breakfast, enjoy a final game drive en route to the Isebania border. After border clearance, cross into Tanzania and continue to the legendary Serengeti National Park.

Depending on arrival time, opt for a short evening game drive or a guided nature walk near your lodge.

Optional: Pre-dawn balloon safari over the Serengeti plains (pre-booking required).

The Great Migration is active April–June in the southern-central zones, offering unforgettable photography of wildebeest herds, zebras, predators, and dramatic savannah skies.

📸 Safari Highlights: Migration action, predators in golden light, sweeping landscapes.

    Dinner and overnight stay

  • Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater (Approx. 145 km / 3–4 hrs drive)
