Begin the day with a sunrise game drive, the best time to spot predators on the hunt.
Exit the park with game drive en route and continue toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping (optional) at the Olduvai Gorge Museum ($40 pp).
Arrive at Simba Campsite overlooking the crater rim.

Enjoy half-day crater game viewing with a picnic lunch by the hippo pool.
