Tour Overview

Day By Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara (265 km, 5 to 6 hours)
Nature Romp Safaris will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or the airport and take you to the safari starting point.

On our way to Maasai Mara, we will pass the stunning Great Rift Valley viewpoint and stop in Narok town for a lunch break and refueling.

We’ll continue our journey into the Maasai plains and upon arrival, check into your camp.

Masai Mara is home to some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa year-round.

You’ll have the chance to see elephants roaming the savannah, lion prides, large buffalo herds, and various species like zebras, giraffes, gazelles, cheetahs, warthogs, and more.

These exciting encounters will continue until sunset, marking the end of your first safari day.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.
Day 2: Full Day Wildlife Safari in Maasai Mara
After breakfast, embark on a full day of wildlife exploration in the Maasai Mara Reserve.

This park offers diverse wildlife experiences, from close-up encounters with the big five (lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo) to the scenic beauty of the Masai plains.

You’ll also visit the Mara River to see hippos and crocodiles.

If you’re visiting during the migration season, you may witness the spectacular wildebeest migration.

A picnic lunch will be served during your game drive, followed by more wildlife viewing, including both the iconic big five and other fascinating species.

In the afternoon, you can opt to visit a Maasai village (additional cost of $10 per person).

Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.
Day 3: Maasai Mara – Nairobi(265 km, 5 to 6 hours)
Start your final day with an early morning game drive at 6:00 am to catch the big cats in action.

After the drive, return to your camp for a buffet breakfast.

Following breakfast, pack your belongings and check out of your room.

Your guide will meet you at the reception to begin the journey back to Nairobi.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you may have lunch (at your own expense) and opt for a brief city tour, visiting places like the Giraffe Center or Nairobi National Park (at an additional cost).

Finally, your driver/guide will take you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your return flight.

After screening and talking to about 5 travel operators, I decided to go with Nature Romp for an 8 day safari in Kenya, in Feb 2025. Their rate was competitive and selection of lodges to stay very good. Initially I was skeptical due to less reviews about Nature Romp in public domain. However when I talked to Yvonne, I understood that theirs is a fairly new company and I decided to go with them. We (my daughter and I) opted for a private tour covering Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli. We were received at the Nairobi airport and the next day early morning Yvonne, Lucy and Maxwell (guide cum driver) welcomed us at the hotel, prior to starting the safari. We instantly felt at home and from then onwards it was a positive experience all the time. Our guide Maxwell is an excellent guide. He knew about birds and animals, their behavior and diligent in driving (safe driving). He was always on time. If i had to do anything differently, its only about selecting the stay option at one place (Naivasha). Although the accommodation was very good, it was pretty far from the National park. Drawing the route map and  time to take to this palace would have helped me giving an additional 4 hours for bird photography. Thank you Yvonne and Maxwell. I surely plan to do another safari with Nature Romp in 2026

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. initially asked for 3 quotations for my 7-days safari in Kenya (Masai Mara-Amboseli-Nakuru-Naivasha). All 3 tours companies replied me right away but Ms Yvonne Ateka from Nature Romp Safaris was by far the most outstanding and patient in answering dozens of my questions concerning visa, safety, accommodation, preparation, etc… She was also extremely flexible in helping me changing my safari schedule due to my unexpected 2-days delay at transit airport New Delhi. The entire tour was fascinating!!! It was the very best trip I’ve ever had (I’ve travelled 30+ countries so far)! Kenyan nature and wildlife is breathtakingly beautiful even more than I’ve imagined before… Freddy was very caring, knowledgeable and a super offroad driver.
